Abstract

PURPOSE:A hair cosmetic, containing a mixture of reaction mixture of an ampholytic surfactant with a sulfated polysaccharide, having a remarkable improving effect on the reduced elasticity of hair in use and improved performance in the combing, smoothness and moistness. CONSTITUTION:A hair cosmetic containing 0.05-6.0wt%, preferably 0.1-3.0wt%, based on the total weight, mixture of reaction mixture of (A) an ampholytic surfactant with (B) a sulfated polysaccharide at a weight ratio between the components (A) and (B) of (1/4)-(4/1). The resultant cosmetic is used as a hair rinse, hair treatment, set lotion, etc. In case water is used as a solvent or added to the cosmetic in use, the components (A) and (B) form various complexes to exhibit improved properties for the hair. The components (A) and (B) may be either one of the natural and synthetic ones.
