Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a side lobe locking and to improve the tracking capability, by providing a means for compensating an angle error signal characteristic relating to a target, on a receiver of a target tracking radar having a function for detecting the angle information by a reflected signal from the target. CONSTITUTION:A reflected wave 1 from a target is received by an antenna 2, a sum signal W0 and a difference signal S0 are fetched, and an IF signal is formed. Subsequently, levels of a sum signal W and a difference signal S1 obtained from an IF amplifier 6 are compared by a level comparator 9, and in a coefficient setting circuit 10, the coefficient is set to +1 in case of W level >S1 level, and the coefficient is set to ''0'' in case of W level <=S1 level, and in a multiplier 11, S1 and an output signal of the coefficient setting circuit are multiplied, and a difference signal S is formed. The sum signal W and the difference signal S obtained in this way are added to a phase detecting circuit 7, and an angle error signal K is formed. Subsequently, in accordance with this signal K, the antenna 2 is driven by a servo-mechanism 8 in the incoming direction of the reflected wave 1 from the target.
