Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the wear of the chain at its fitting position and facilitate the maintenance of the chain by a method wherein a chain stopper with the structure open equally to both sides is seated in the vertical through hole of a housing, which is detachably and pivotally attached with a trunnion. CONSTITUTION:The housing 2 is attached pivotally, through the horizontal trunnion 5 protrudingly provided at both sides of the housing 2, and detachably to a mooring arrangement such as SBM (single buoy mooring) or the like. The vertical through hole is formed in the interior of the housing 2 in order to seat the chain stopper 4 therein. The chain stopper 4 is so structured as to be able to open equally to both sides and a chain past through the central part of the stopper 4 is fixed to the stopper 4 by being tighten with bolts 10. The chain stopper 4 can be easily dismounted and each member can be dismantled. As a result, the adjustment of the chain can be done easily and as well as the wear of the chain at its fitting position is prevented and the maintenance work of the chain can be performed easily.
