Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable various information to be visually confirmed without diverting the view spot by a method wherein the information displayed on a display panel face is optically reflected on a translucent reflective plate provided on the dashboard, in a method displaying various information on driving. CONSTITUTION:The head-up display device is comprised of the traslucent reflective plate 3 provided on the dashboard 2 and a display panel 4 provided at the upper face or the inside surface of the dashboard 2. The display panel 4 displays the various information such as speed by characters, meters, pictures or the like, and the displayed information is reflected by the reflective polate 3 and is visually confirmed by the driver 5 as erect virtual images 6. The plate 3 is produced by forming a translucent film on a glass or the like by vapor deposition or the like, and it reflects the information given on the display panel 4 while permitting the driver to look forward therethrough. Accordingly, the driver 5 can visually confirm the information without diverting his view spot and can drive safely.
