Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply form a desired pattern on a surface of a base material having a complicated surface shape, by a method wherein a transfer film, consisting of a heat contractive film, is used as a decorative film for building material. CONSTITUTION:After a desired pattern 2 is formed on a surface of a heat contractive film 1, whose surface has a mold-releasing property, with ink having a heat-sensitive adhesiveness, or the desired pattern 2 is formed on the surface of the heat contractive film with ordinary ink, a resin layer 3, having a heat- sensitive adhesiveness, is formed to produce a transfer film 4. After the transfer film 4 is placed so that it wraps a total periphery of a matter 5 in an arbitrary shape, it is heated, and as a result, the film 4 is contracted such that it is firmly adhered to the surface of the matter 5. The base of the transfer film 4 is then exfoliated.
