Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a sense of unease that a calling subscriber has by providing an audible tone oscillator and an LED, and then confirming the transmission of a dial signal by the light emission of the LED while receiving an audible tone during keyboard operation through a receiver. CONSTITUTION:This telephone set generates a dial signal by a dial signal generating circuit 3 by using a keyboard 2. For this purpose, an audible tone oscillator 5 and an LED are provided. During keyboard operation, an audible tone oscillator 5 is made to oscillate by a key-in signal, and its audible tone is received by a receiver 7, thereby confirming that the key-in signal is transmitted to the dial signal generating circuit 3. For the confirmation of dial signal transmission, on the other hand, the dial signal generating circuit 3 turns the LED on. As a result, it is found that a contact of the keyboard is made incompletely and no key-in signal is sent out owing to the wrong depression of a key, and whether a desired number of digits of the dial signal are outputted is discriminated, thus eliminating the sense of unease of a calling subscriber.
