Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the selective transfer of the pressure corresponding to the paper quality by constituting so that the motor rotation is controlled by operations of paper quality selection buttons and the pressure of one of two feed rollers is adjusted by means of an interlocked cam mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When a switches 27-29 are actuated by operations of of operation buttons, cams 20, 21 are rotated by a motor 25 to the conditions corresponding to the paper quality. For example, when the thin paper switch 27 is actuated, the second cam 21 is stopped at a place where its thin paper position 21a gets into contact with a roller 19. 21b is a normal paper position, and 21c is a thick paper position. In case of the thick paper, the cam 20 moves the upper roll of a pinch roll device through a lever 10 to slacken the pressure. When the cam 21 is stopped moving, a lever 8 is swinged in accordance with the cam profile, changing the position of the lower paper-feed roller 13 relative to the upper roller 12 by use of a rotary shaft 16 to adjust the pressure. Thereby, the pressure of the paper-feed roller corresponding to the paper quality can be easily transferred selectively.
