Abstract
PURPOSE:To adjust thr rise of a tray precisely by using various elements provided on wire winding shafts and a driving power input shaft. CONSTITUTION:A brake mechanism of a paper tray driving unit has an input shaft 2 which is parallel with wire winding shafts 3, 4 and is connected with a motor as capable of being disconnected, and two sprockets A, B with different numbers of teeth from each other and a friction plate G are fitted to the input shaft 2. The sprocket B with less teeth is fitted to a part of the input shaft 2 by use of a sleeve 1. In addition, a ratchet wheel E in contact with the sleeve 1 is inserted to the input shaft 2 between the sprocket B with less teeth and the friction plate G. According to this constitution, the rise of the tray can be adjusted precisely because it can be correlated with rotary movements of the input shaft 2 fixed to the friction plate G.
