Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve a functional improvement of the equipment with a quicker insertion and delivery of a pipe for a tester and with a shorter working time by providing a pipe receiving section at free ends of a plurality of arms on both sides of a receiving beam.
CONSTITUTION: Rotating shafts 2 and 3 having arms 4 and 5 are mounted on both sides of a receiving beam 1. The shaft 2 and the arm 4 turn and insert a pipe 10 on the center line of the tester between test heads 11 and 12 and the shaft 3 and the arm 5 turns and delivers the pipe 10 after the end of the test. A clamp 6 is provided at the free end of the arm 5 to center. The clamp 6 holds the pipe 10 closed at a small space to prevent the bending thereof during the proceding of the test. The arms 4 and 5 are driven individually to adjust the number of required arms turning to the length of the pipe while the remaining arms turns out of the area where the head 11 proceeds. The head 11 shifts on the receiving beam 1 while the shaft 3, the arm 5 and the clamp move toward the head 12.
