Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to simplify the operation and as well as to reduce the number of wirings and of parts by a method wherein the value of a variable resistor is rendered to stand both for the setting of air conditioning mode and for the setting of temperature. CONSTITUTION:The temperature setting and mode setting are performed by the variable resistor 3'. Said set values are converted through a voltage converter circuit 5 and an analog-to-digital converter circuit 6 into digital values. A mode discriminator circuit 9 discriminates that the converted values lie within the range of normal cooling mode or not and sends the normal cooling mode signal to a comparator circuit 7'. Upon receipt of said normal cooling signal, the comparator circuit 7' calculates that what temperature corresponds to the digital values converted in the analog-to-digital converter circuit 6. On the other hand, the detected value of a temperature detecting sensor 4 is sent to the comparator circuit 7', in which the above-mentioned two values are compared with each other in accordance with normal cooling mode and the result of the comparison is outputted to a controlling circuit 8.
