Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a heat quantity generated at the tip of the vane remarkably and enable to improve the operating efficiency thereof as well as to reduce the power to be used therefor by a method wherein the tip of the vane is used under a condition that the total width thereof is contacted with a cam surface effectively. CONSTITUTION:The heat release value at the tip 3a may be reduced by a method wherein the curvature of the tip 3a is approached to the same of the cam surface 1a as much as possible and it is slided under being contacted with the cam surface 1a by utilizing the total width of the vane 3. For this purpose, it is necessary that the vane 3 is inclined with respect to the normal line o-j against the cam surface 1a and the configuration of the tip 3a at an angular point (j) where the tip is contacting with the cam surface 1a must be an arc contacting with the cam surface 1a, in a state shown by the diagram, therefore, the center K of the arc is provided on the normal line o-j. According to such a formation, the heat quantity generated at the tip 3a may be reduced remarkably.
