Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent horizontal movements of a float body effectively with a smaller number of dolphins by a method wherein reentrant angles are provided at the back side of left and right end parts of a float body by removing the material, a pair of dolphins are brought into contact with the reentrant angles and mooring cables are stretched between the float body and fixed positions on the back side of the float. CONSTITUTION:The float body 2' is provided with the reentrant angles 2'A, 2'A at the back side of the left and right end parts by removing the material, and one pair of dolphins 4' erected preliminarily are brought into contact with the reentrant angles 2'A, 2'A through shock absorbers 6. The float 2' is pulled skewly backwards by the mooring cables 3'. Accordingly, the float body 2' is prevented from moving in three horizontal directions by the pair of dolphins 4', and is prevented from moving in the other horizontal direction by the mooring cables 3', so that the float body 2' can sufficiently endure the boarding of a large-type ship 1.
