Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductive coil which is hard to cause superconductive breakdown by a method wherein at least two sheets or more of low-friction materials are stacked and inserted between a superconductive coil and a structural material supporting electromagnetic force. CONSTITUTION:Two or more stacked low-friction materials 7 are inserted between a superconductive coil 1 and a spacer 4. The coefficients of friction between the low-friction material and the superconductive coil 1 and the coefficients of friction between the low-friction material 7 and the spacer 4 are higher than the coefficient of friction for fellow low-friction materials 7. Therefore, the slip for the fellow low-friction materials 7 becomes higher than the slip between the superconductive coil 1 and the low-friction material 7 and that between the spacer 4 and the low-friction material 7. Accordingly, friction heating is reduced by the slip for the fellow low-friction materials 7 having the low coefficient of friction and the superconductive coil 1 becomes hard to cause superconductive breakdown.
