Abstract

PURPOSE:To give decision of a blood type fully-automatically and to eliminate erroneous decision or posting mistake, by dispensing an antiserum into a reaction vessel of an operation stand and dropping a diluted solution of blood to be inspected and then, deciding and recording agglutination optically. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus is constituted by a sample conveying part 4, an antiserum dispensing part 5, a dilution operating part 6 and an optical measuring part 9 etc. A reaction vessel A is provided with concave parts (a)-(h) and blood to be inspected is housed in a concave part (g). The vessel A is placed on a conveying stand 12 and the blood is sucked by a pipette chip 31 of the part 6. Hereafter, the vessel A is moved to the part 5 and each antiserum and dilution solution is dispensed in each concave part. Next, the vessel A is moved to the part 6 and the dilution solution is sucked into the chip 31 and is mixed and stirred by a syringe pump 40 and hereafter, the dilution solution is dropped in each concave part. The vessel A is transferred to the part 9 after carrying out shaking operation by a prescribed shaking mechanism 7 and a blood type is decided and is recorded automatically by an electric signal corresponding to the exsistence or dimensions of agglomerate by agglutination reaction. Hereby, decision is given entirely automatically and erroneous decision or posting mistake is prevented.
