Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the fixation of an element and housing, by forming a solid electrolyte element in cup-like shape, providing an annular extended part on the outer circumference of said element and supporting it at an inside annular seat part of the housing. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolyte element 1 has cup-like shape closed the one end and opened the other end. An annular expanded part 1a is provided on the central outer circumference of the element 1 and an annular seat part 1b is provided to the inner open end side. An annular seat part 16a is provided to the inside of a metallic cylindrical housing 16 and the element 1 is placed on the part 16a through a ring packing 17. By such a construction, fixation of the element and housing is simplified because the part 1a of the element 1 is supported at the part 16a of the housing 16.
