Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a recorder capable of providing various recorded print styles using one printing head and one letter signal generating circuit, by enabling the printing head to be rotatable in a plane parallel to a recording surface. CONSTITUTION:The printing head 4 for recording letter signals, which have been made into electrical signals, on a length of recording paper 3 is rotatably supported through a fulcrum 8 on a carriage 6 that is guided by an axle 5 rectangular to the feeding direction of the recording paper 3 and is moved reciprocally along the axle 5. As an electromagnet 14 is supported on the carriage 6 for rotating a mounting plate 7, the printing head 4 can be rotated about the fulcrum 8 by an electrical signal, and upright letters or slant letters can be easily selected on the recording paper without rearranging the letter pattern signal 15 from the letter signal generating circuit 13.
