PURPOSE:To prevent reproduced tone quality from being deteriorated through a simple circuit configuration by controlling a pre-value holding starting time in accordance with a holding period and removing noises having a large amplitude generated at the switching of a reproducing track and periodical noises. CONSTITUTION:When a reproduced signal fetched from a magnetic recording medium 1 by a reproducing head 2 or 3 is supplied to a reproducing track switching circuit 6 after passing through a preamplifier 4 or 5, the reproducing track is changed by the reproducing track switching circuit 6. Out of the output signals of the circuit 6, only an FM voice signal component is extracted by a band-pass filter (BPF) 8 and demodulated by an FM demodulator 9. A pre-value holding circuit 11 holds signals outputted during the generation of noises due to discontinuous carriers of reproduced/frequency converted voice signals at the time of switching of the reproducing track at the reproduced voice level held before the generation of the noises, and controls the reproducing track switching time so that the integrated value of periodical noises relating to the period of a reproduced synchronizing signal in a signal outputted from the circuit 11 becomes ''0''.
