Abstract
PURPOSE:To make uniform the beam distribution on a screen by arranging the bridge section for separating the stripe-shaped electron beam pass hole of two mask electrodes with two different intervals in the same direction. CONSTITUTION:The first and second mask electrodes 21, 22 are arranged with the intervals of 0.3-2mm. while facing with a screen 24 applied with the red, blue and green phosphor substances 24R, 24B and 24G. Many rows of through- holes having the longitudinal direction in the same direction with said substances 24R, 24B and 24G are arranged on the mask electrodes 21 and 22 in the perpendicular direction with said substances 24R, 24B and 24G. The through-holes 211 and 212 are arranged through a bridge section 213 for separating them while the adjoining row of the through-holes is shifted by 1/2 pitch in the direction of the stripe. The through-holes 221 and 222 are also separated by the bridge section 223. The mask electrodes 21, 22 having the quite same shape are assembled such that the centers of the through-holes 211 and 222 and the center of the through-holes 212 and 221 will be overlapped.
