Abstract

PURPOSE: To convert a lens to a wide angle and to reduce its diameter, by forming at least its one surface to an aspherical surface, and satisfying prescribed conditions, in a retrofocus type endoscope objective lens system consisting of a front concave lens group and a rear convex lens group.
CONSTITUTION: In a retrofocus type endoscope objective lens consisting of a front group concave lens G1, a brightness diaphragm S, and convex lenses G2, G3 being a rear group L2, in order from an object side, R4 of the rear group G2 is converted to an aspherical surface, and an optical fiber is placed on an image formation surface P'. In this optical system, conditions of 0.8<1f1/f≤2.5 and 1<f2≤1.5 are satisfied. Provided that (f), f1 and f2 denote a focal distance of the whole system, the front group L1 and the rear group L2, respectively. Since the aspherical surface has been introduced, it is possible to convert a lens to a wide angle and to reduce its outside diameter.
