Abstract

PURPOSE:To heighten the damping effect of an anti-vibration rubber which performs liquid damping action, by setting the diameter and length of a damping orifice in appropriate ranges. CONSTITUTION:Incompressible liquid is filled in chambers A, B divided from each other by a separator 16. Damping action, which is caused when the liquid passes through an orifice 18 provided in the separator 16, is utilized. To set the orifice 18 in a desired form, a prescribed short cylinder 19 is tightly fitted in the hole of the separator 16. The diameter (d) of the orifice 18 is set at 2-9mm. and the ratio l/d of its length l to the diameter is set at 2-8. This results in heightening the effect of the damping action.
