Abstract

PURPOSE:To seize the improper shortcircuit state of a wheel of a vehicle by detecting the level of a track current and the state of the movement of the vehicle on the vehicle when the vehicle passes the boundary of the sections of the track. CONSTITUTION:A current receiver RV which detects a signal current transmitted from a signal power source S to a rail RL is installed at the rear of the wheel D1 of a vehicle L0. A device for inputting and recording both the information of the track current received by the receiver RV and the moving distance information of the vehicle L0 is provided, and when the vehicle L0 passes the boundary of the sections in the vicinity of the track current dispatching point, the device is operated. In this manner, the recorded information is analyzed, and the state of the track shortcircuit in the vicinity of the boundary of the sections of the wheels to be examined is seized.
