Abstract

PURPOSE:To hold the speaker surely and to improve the characteristics, by holding a speaker unit case in which the area is sequentially increased from ear hole, diaphragm aperture and diaphragm plate with the elasticity of ear shell in the front recess of ear hole. CONSTITUTION:A dynamic speaker unit consisting of a voice coil and a diaphragm plate 10b in area S1 located in a magnetic gap is contained in a case 12 made of light metal such as aluminum or hard plastic together with a sound absorbing member 13. The front surface of the case 12 is covered with a cover 12b having a radius plane and an ear pad 14 made of perforated elastic body such as foamed urethane, and apertures 12b', 14' in the area S2 which are greater than the cross section S2 of the ear hole (a) and smaller than the said S1 are provided at the part opposing to the ear hole (a) out of the center. The case 12 is inserted to an ear hole (b) between the external ears (e) and (f) to hold it with the elasticity of cartilage and muscline. Thus, the sound is hardly leaked externally and the speaker is surely held with the ear shell, allowing to improve the scoustic characteristics.
