Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent recording surface from damage at loading/unloading of a video disc 7, by providing a pair of shutter plates which can close a jacket insertion inlet through approaching each side from the up and down direction, at the inside of the jacket insertion inlet. CONSTITUTION:A shutter device 35 normally plays a role of closing a jacket insertion inlet 12 and has two shutter plates 41 and 42, and the plates 41 and 42 respectively have fulcrums M1 and M2 at one side end. The rotating side ends of both the shutter plates M1 and M2 base a jacket insertion inlet 12 and can rotate toward the direction that they can mutually close or detach. When the shutter 35 is guided with rail devices 36 and 37 and positioned to the jacket insertion inlet 12, the rotation is made so as to close the jacket insertion inlet 12 and to approach rotating sides mutually.
