Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove a residual toner from a photoreceptor, by turning a cleaning member, which is provided with plural hard blade-shaped projections radially on the circumferential face part and consists of a porous elastic material, while pressing the cleaning member to the photoreceptor to supply a cleaning liquid. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning member 2 is arranged in such position that it is off to the upper left of a photoreceptor 1 and is allowed to descend along the circumferential face of the photoreceptor 1, and plural hard blade-shaped projections 22 are pressed to the circumferential face of the photoreceptor 1, and the cleaning member 2 is turned in the direction of an arrow by a turning means. When the cleaning is performed, the photoreceptor 1 is turned in the direction of an arrow, and the cleaning member 2 is turned; and when a cleaning liquid 5 is supplied through a supply tube 3, the residual toner on the circumferential face of the photoreceptor 1 is scraped by projections 22 of the cleaning member 2 and is removed from the circumferential face of the photoreceptor, and peeled toner is allowed to soak together with the cleaning liquid 5 into a roller 21 and is squeezed out by a squeezing roller 4.
