Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate forming of thick tubes and tubes of high tensile strength by forming a flower making the radius of curvature of the rim of the flower and that of the central part have direction opposite to each other in roll forming. CONSTITUTION:In roll forming method in which a strip S is worked to a specified tube or tubular product by passing the strip continuously through a caliber of roll pass, roll forming is made normally in the initial stage of forming to make a flower to such a shape that the curvature of the central part of the flower 1' rho'c<0 and the curvature of the rim rho'e>0. By this way, roll forming of tubular product so far impossible to form becomes possible.
