Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable liquid separation excellent in a permeating ratio and a permeating amount by using a film passing a component A more easily than a component B and a film passing the component B more easily than the component A in combination.
CONSTITUTION: A mixed liquid containing at least two components A, B is permeated through a film MA of which coefficient of separation αA/B is more than 1 and the permeate is permeated through a film MB of which coefficient of separation αB/A is more than 1 to remove the component B and, thereby, the component A and the component B are separated. For example, when the mixed liquid containing 50wt% of the components A, B in a 1:1 ratio is permeated through the film MA of which coefficient of separation αA/B is 10 and the permeating ratio LA is 5,000g/m2.hr, the concn. of the component A in the permeate is 90.9wt% and that of the component B is 9.1w%. When this permeate is permeated by using the film MB of which coefficient of separation αB/A is 50 and the permeating ratio LB is 500g/m2.hr, the concn. of the component B in the permeate is 83.3wt% and that of the component A is 16.7wt% and, therefore, the residual liquid concn. of the film MA is 99.2wt% about the component A and a liquid amount is 4,500g/m2.hr. This value is same when a film of which coefficient separation αA/B is 117.8 and the permeating ratio L is 4,500g/m2.hr is used.
