Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease noise generated when taking in the inside air by providing a sound absorbing member consisting of a reflector and sound absorbing material in the periphery of an inside air intake port. CONSTITUTION:An impeller driven by a motor 2 is enclosed in a spiral shaped scroll consisting of a motor side scroll 3 and a fan side scroll 4. An intake duct 6 that separtes outside air and inside air is provided at the opposite side of the fan of a bell mouth 5. A reflector 9 that composes a tubular space extending toward the room from the intake port is made as an integral part of the inside air intake port 8 of the intake duct 6. Sound absorbing material 10, widened at the further side, is provided on the inside wall of the reflector 9. Auxiliary intake hole 11 is provided on the reflector 9 and the sound absorbing material 10 to broaden the air intake area if needed, and the outside air intake duct 14 is provided to connect to a car body side outside air intake duct 13 at the intake port 12 of the intake duct 6.
