Abstract

PURPOSE:To make constitution simple without the need for changing over of revolving directions to forward and backward directions and to improve accuracy by using a one way rotating and driving means, and detecting the rotating angle position of a one way rotating direction thereby detecting the position of an optical system. CONSTITUTION:This device has optical elements that can be moved forward and backward in order to change copying magnifications (a lens L, and mirrors M3, M4), a motor 14 which outputs one way rotating and driving force, a reduction gear train 21 which converts the one way rotating force from said motor 14 to forward and backward movements and transmits the same to said optical elements, a one way revolving shaft 23 which makes one turn as against the one forward and backward movement of the optical elements in accordance with the driving force from the motor 14, and microswitches MS 1-3 which detect that the shaft 23 has revolved to the rotating angle position corresponding to the selected magnification and stop the operation of the motor 14. The constitution is made simple and the accuracy is improved by using the motor 14, and detecting the position of the optical elements by detecting the rotating angle position of the shaft 23.
