Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure safety during disk rotation by interlocking the opening and closure of a safety cover with the safety energizing of a safety energizing means when the rotation of an optical information disk is detected. CONSTITUTION:A thermistor unit 30 is fixed on a cover 12 and installed where wind generated by the rotation of a disk 1 is strong so that wind generated by the high-speed rotation of the disk is detected. Thus, the wind by the high-speed rotation of the optical information disk 11 is detected to detect the high-speed rotation of the disk 11 and cover locking mechanisms 31 and 32 are energized to perform locking during the high-speed rotation. Consequently, when the rotation of the disk 11 is speeded at a prescribed speed or above, the cover 12 is locked automatically and disabled to be opened. When the rotation speed of the disk decreases below the prescribed speed, the cover 12 is unlocked.
