Abstract

PURPOSE:To control automatically guides from a center device, by providing lead screws on left and right walls of an inserter frame and also providing guides for regulating the width of a print form on these screws and controlling the driving part of lead screws by the output of a control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A pair of lead screws 2 and 3 which extend inside and face to each other are provided on left and right walls of the inserter frame of a printer which prints data from a center device. Moving guide 6 and 7 for regulating the width of a print form are provided on screws 2 and 3. Ultrasonic range finders 8 and 9 for measurement of distances between respective walls of the inserter frame and guides 6 and 8 and a control circuit 10 for positioning moving guides to which distance data from measurers 8 and 9 and form size designating data from the center device are inputted. In the circuit 10, designating data and distance data are compared with each other, and step motors 4 and 5 are controlled by drivers 11 and 12 to move guides 6 and 7 until both data coincide with each other.
