Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently and continuously prepare a heat medium mixt. suitable for the formation of a low-temp. heat recovery Rankine cycle, by adding LNG, LPG, etc. to an ethane-rich fraction obtd. by distilling LNG. CONSTITUTION:LNG in tank 11 is supplied via pump 12, line (a) and heater 4 to an intermediate tray of distillation column 4, and part of vapor is condensed by top condenser 2 and flowed downward as a reflux. An overhead fraction primarily composed of methane is withdrawn from the top, a side stream fraction rich in ethane from the column side and a high-boiling component from the bottom, by continuous distillation effected by heating by means of bottom reboiler 3. The side stream fraction is introduced via pipeline (f), cooler 5, valve 13 and pipeline (j) to drum 7, to which is added at least a composition adjustor selected from LNG, LPG, N2, methane, propane, etc. from bombs 8 and 9 via pipeline (h) and dryer 10, and/or via pipeline (d), to obtain a heat medium mixt. for the formation of a low-temp. heat recovery Rankine cycle during gasification of LNG.
