Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve line density conversion, by determining the level of a converted picture element through a distance between a converted picture element and an adjacent original picture element, and the level of the original picture element. CONSTITUTION:An original picture signal is A/D-converted via an A/D conversion circuit, and a signal for one screen's share signal is stored in RAMs 1-n of a storage circuit. The signal stored in the RAMs 1-n is sequentially read with a decoder 3 and an address decoder 4 for line density conversion. In case of readout, the decoder 3 selects the RAM1 at the 1st pulse of a clock Cl4 and selects the RAMs 2 and 3 at the 2nd pulse and selects the RAM4 at the 3rd pulse for RAM selection. The decoder 4 counts the clock Cl5 and makes address designation according to the number of counts.
