Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the damage on the surface of a hologram without damaging the performance as a hologram and remove restrictions on handling, by packing a relief hologram closely with transparent resin films. CONSTITUTION:A relief hologram 1 generated or copied in the known method is held between transparent resin films 2a and 2b and is packed closely. As this packing method, stretch packing where a plasticized thermoplastic resin film is stretched and shrink packing where theraml shrinkability is utilized can be adopted besides vacuum packing used generally for packing of food, but vacuum packing is suitable for the purpose of preventing bubbles. Polyethylene films, propyrene films, laminated films of them, or the like having a thickness of about 20-100mu are used as films 2a and 2b. This means is applied to transmitting as well as reflective refief holograms. As resin films 2a and 2b, materials separate from each other are used or one film is folded.
