PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of selecting a detecting element having excellent linearity, by compensating the measured value which is converted into the digital data based on the compensating data which is stored in a memory circuit in advance. CONSTITUTION:When a material to be measured is placed on a scale pan, the weight data corresponding to the material to be measured is outputted from a load cell 5 and supplied to an A/D converter 7 through an amplifier 6. The measured value which is converted into the digital data is compensated in an operation control part 8 based on the compensating data in the memory circuit 9. Then a price is computed based on said compensated result and the unit price data in the memory circuit 9, and displayed on a display 10 together with the result of the computation and the compensated result.
