Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a function, which detects the extrusion of sludge automaticlly and controls it and prevents a sag of a filter cloth, to a belt-press type dehydrator, by providing protecting boards to prevent the extrusion of the sludge, on which nozzles are arranged facing the filter cloth, to the dehydrator.
CONSTITUTION: There is a possibility of the falling-off of sludge 11 at the end part of a wedge-effect dehydrating zone moving to a belt-press dehydrating zone, owing to the small gap between cloths 1a and 1b. Sensors 17 of photoelectric tube, supersonic, etc.-type are arranged, therefore, to detect forced out sludge, and when the extrusion of the sludge is detected, the dehydrator is stopped for a while and simultaneously, compressed air or water shower is jetted strongly from a jetting device 13 to remove the sludge falled onto the underside cloth 1b so as to start the dehydrator again. Thus the change of running condition by the regular inspections is made possible by checking the records of repeated starts and stops of the dehydrator owing to the falling-off of the sludge, and that enables the control which makes a step forward to a perfectly unmanned automatic running.
