Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve sure wheel pressure for driving wheels, by making at least one idling wheel movable up and down in an unattended car having driving wheels left and right at the center in the lengthwise direction of wheels and idling wheels at back and forth, and providing a spring mechanism between the idling wheels and the car body. CONSTITUTION:Two driving wheels 1, 1 are provided to both sides at the center in the lengthwise direction of a car body 3, and each one idling wheel 2, 2 are provided to the back and forth. A spring mechanism consisting of a shaft 6, a spring 11 and an elastic rubber 10 is constituted between an idling wheel supporting member 4 and a wheel base 7 of at least one of the idling wheels 2. The idling wheels 2 a fitted under the wheel base 7 freely rotatably with a thrust bearing 8. Arms 12, 12 which are movable up and down are provided between the wheel stand 7 and a pin cradle 13. At a stationary load, the difference between the length of the spring 11 and the elastic rubber 10 is regulated to (h) and the spring constant is smaller for the spring 11 and larger for the rubber 10. Thus, the car body 3 does not almost incline even on a slope and an uneven part on a load through the up-down movement of an idling device 5 and the floating of the driving wheels 1 is prevented, and stable running can be made with a suitble wheel pressure.
