CONSTITUTION:An input and output interface 11, a CPU12, an ROM13 for controlling a typewriter and storing a program, and an RAM13A for storing a letter inputted are mounted in a typewriter body 1, and a sound generating part 14, in which a sound composition device 15 sends a sound signal, corresponding to a letter of each key, according to an instruction from an ROM16 for sound, and the signal reproduces a sound of a given letter from a speaker 5 through a low- pass filter 17 and an amplifier 18, is installed. Additionally, a printer 7, performing a printing by means of a signal from a key, and a tape recorder 9 for recording the printing are mounted.
