Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce level variation in a titled device which detects tape speeds by recording and reproducing pulses on a magnetic tape, by adding a voltage having a varied amount which is reverse to the level variation of the reproduced signal, to the reproduced signal. CONSTITUTION:Pulses are recorded on a magnetic tape by means of a recording circuit 1 and recording head 2. An output obtained by intergrating the output of the recording circuit 1 at an integral network 6 is added to the output of a reproducing head 3 at an adder 7, and the output of the adder 7 is inputted to a reproducing circuit 4. The output of the reproducing circuit 4 is fetched from an output terminal 5 as a speed detecting signal and, at the same time, the speed detecting signal is immediately inputted to the recording circuit 1.
