Abstract
PURPOSE: To form a smooth sliding surface with superior wear resistance by finely crushing Si distributed on the sliding surface of a sliding apparatus member made of Al alloy contg. Si by pressing a hard member and anodically oxidizing the sliding surface.
CONSTITUTION: An Al alloy contg. Si is cast into a sliding apparatus member such as a cylinder, and the sliding surface is mechanically finished. A pressing member 6 is manufactured by arranging 6 rollers 7 around a rotary shaft 11 in the axial direction, and the rollers 7 are rotated at high speed and pressed on the inside of the cylinder, whereby Si distributed near the sliding surface is finely crushed. The smoothened sliding surface is degreased, dried and anodically oxidized as usual to obtain a sliding surface having anodic oxide film with superior wear resistance.
