Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the impact at the power transmission part of a hydraulic motor by installing selector valves in parallel to a free-flow check valve on the feeding side midway on the pilot passage for switching a counterbalance spool against springs.
CONSTITUTION: Midway on the pilot passage for switching a counterbalance spool 5 against springs 22 and 23, selector valves 20 and 21 which form large diameter passages 24 and 25 at return position of springs 22 and 23 and small diemater passage 26 and 27 at switching position, in parallel to the free-flow check valve 18 and 19 on the feeding side. For example, in counterbalance operation where a manually operated selector valve 1 is switched from neutral position to position B, the spool 5 is operated to neutral side slowly because of the throttle effect of the small diameter passage 27, and the area of the passage between lines 7 and 3 is throttled gently. When the selector valve 1 is switched from position B neutral position, the large diameter passage 25 is connected to a cylinder 14, and the spool 5 is returned to the neutral position rapidly by the spring 15.
