Abstract

PURPOSE:To find an empty loading space irrespective of the travelling direction of a conveyer, by setting an empty conveyer space detector to each end of loading lanes. CONSTITUTION:A reversible conveyer (C) is loaded with goods (A) from many loading lanes L1, L2... arranged along the conveyer, each lane being equipped with a stopper (S) and detector (D) and the conveyer with a transit detector (E), respectively. A shift register (SR) receives a forward signal (f) and detecting signal (en) while the conveyer is in forward operation and a reverse signal (r) and detecting signal (en-1) while the conveyer is in reverse operation, being synchronized with the conveyer (C) to affirm loading positions. Goods are always controlled to be loaded in empty spaces on the conveyer without colliding with each other.
