PURPOSE:To prevent an errorneous retrieving in a food heating device with a cooking card by a method wherein an operation in the operating part is made null when it is sensed that the second heating condition is not present in the memory unit which retrieves basing on a condition of the card. CONSTITUTION:Information indicating a presence or non-presence of the heating condition A and the heating condition B is stored in the cooking card 8 and the condition is selected by detecting the condition B. When there is a cook having the same heating function FA and the time tA2 as those shown in the card 8 and further no heating condition B is found therein, the card 8 having the punched holes 8a therein is used. When the card 8 is set in the setting part 7, the heating condition A is defined. However, the switches 2a for the heating condition B are not operated, so that the condition A set in the display device 6 is displayed. Even if the selection swtiches 3 are operated, these selection switches 3 do not accept these operations, and thus any errorneous retrieval of the condition B is not made and no selection is made.
