Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase a transmission speed, and to finish propagation of an error by 1H even in case when a transmission error has occurred, by using an unequal length code. CONSTITUTION:A readout data is differentially encoded by a higher order forecasting differential encoder HODPCM102. This HODPCM operates so that forecasting is started from a constant level, by resetting a circuit to a sink chip level every 1H by a control signal from a transmission controller 105. An equal length encoder 103 converts the differentially encoded signal to an equal length code whose 1 picture element consists of 4 bits, and an unequal length encoder 104 converts said signal to an unequal length code of 1-8 bits in accordance with generation frequency. Whether a signal to be transmitted is set to equal length or unequal length is switched by a switch 105, and after that, it is sent to a transmission controller 106, information for discriminating equal length or unequal length is inserted into the first data of 1 field, also information for discriminating an end of every 1H is inserted, and is sent out as a serial data to the circuit.
