Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a connected block of empty cans to improve the density of wastes, by crushing empty cans, which is inserted between a pair of pins provided on a pressure receiving plate, with a pressure plate having dimensions smaller than those of the empty can while changing the rotation position of the pressure receiving plate. CONSTITUTION:The device consists of an empty can supporting table 1, a pressure receiving plate 3 which has the position adjusted for an empty can put in an empty supporting part 2 of the supporting table 1 and is rotatable, and a pressure plate 4. A pair of pins 8 are provided at an interval, where the outside circumferential part of the empty can is fitted, on the pressure receiving face of the pressure receiving plate 3, and longitudinal dimensions of the pressure plate 4 are made smaller than those of the empty can. When the pressure plate 4 advances to crush the empty can, upper and lower end parts of the empty can are bent inside along upper and lower faces of the pressure plate 4, and the empty can is linked to preliminarily crushed empty cans to form a block, and thus, the density of wastes is enhanced.
