Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a digital servo device which has a stable working without causing the disturbance such as an abnormal signal or the like, by turning the pulse duration modulated output into a signal having the pulse duration coinciding with the target extent of operation just for a short time immediately after the latch pulse. CONSTITUTION:The following circuits and detector are provided: a reference signal generating circuit 8 consisting of a counter means; a digital detector that delivers a digital signal in accordance with an error between the target value and a control subject such as the rotational system of a tape recorder or the like; and a pulse duration modulating circuit 7 that performs a digital comparison between the signal detected by the digital detector and the reference signal. Then the pulse duration modulated output is changed for a certain time into a signal that has the pulse duration coinciding with the target extent of operation before and after the contents of detection of the digital detector varies and then the digital information of the digital signal output is changed.
