Abstract
PURPOSE: Plastic foam having adhesive layers is impregnated with a specific curable organopolysiloxane liquid composition and cured to produce the titled composite foam with high weather resistance, heat resistance and high durability.
CONSTITUTION: Plastic foam of open cell structure provided with adhesive layers on one or both surfaces such as urethane foam is impregnated with a curable organopolysiloxane liquid composition that is prepared by dissolving or dispersing (A) a curable organopolysiloxane in (B) a solvent of a low-molecular siloxane, liquid silane, fluorinated hydrocarbon boiling at lower than 200°C and/or water. Then, the foam is dried and cured to produce plastic-organopolysiloxane composite foam having adhesive layers.
