Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive to reserve the consumed electric power of a pump driving motor and improve the fuel consumption of an engine by a method wherein a third brush is added to the pump driving motor, respective brushes for the motor are switched in accordance with the load of the engine and thus the output of the motor is controlled. CONSTITUTION:In the device constituted so that the pump driving motor 5 is driven when an ignition switch 1 and an engine driving switch 7 are closed sequentially and then a contact 6 is closed by charging the exciting coil 4 of a relay 3, the above described motor 5 is provided with the third brush 10. An electronic control unit 11 for switching brushes is provided between the brush 10 and the other brush 8' to be connected to the earth. This control unit 11 is constituted so as to drive the motor 5 in a high speed by putting a transistor Tr ''ON'' and switching the contact from S2 side to S1 side by means of a brush switching relay 12 upon starting wherein both of the contacts IG, ST of the switch 1 are closed or upon accelerating wherein a choke valve switch 13 is closed.
