Abstract

CONSTITUTION:Terminals DTE1-DTE3 are connected to t exchanges LS of a network NTW, and signals from the exchanges LS are made into one by a regional exchange MUX and is transmitted to another regional exchange MUX through a transmission line LL. The format of the contents of the information to be transmitted consists of a frame synchronizing bit F, a mode specifying bit M, prescribed channel numbers N1, N2..., and a check bit CHK to form a data link format for transmission by multiplying channels. Then, the bit of a terminal to be transmitted by each speed data is included in link, and the number of chan nels differing in transmission speed is increased or decreased, thus performing transmission.
