Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an economical environment monitor equipment being capable of indicating a long-term accumulative change clearly, by monitoring a corrosive environment in the atmosphere by a discoloring degree of enamel exposed in the corrosive environment. CONSTITUTION:It is found that lead oxide group enamel is turned into black or white when reacted with hydrogen sulfide or sulfurous acid gas in the atmosphere among some kind of enamel. The concentration of a corrosive gas component in the atmosphere is found by the time elapsed or data of relative humidity by making a standard decision photograph of mutual relation between said change and each concentration of gas, relative humidity and time then comparing a discoloring degree of standard enamel sample with said photograph. Hereby, a long-term accumulative change is indicated clearly by a degree of discoloration and an economical environment monitor equipment is obtained.
