Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect copy paper conveyed one over another by providing a roller which rotates in contact with a conveying means such as a conveyor roller, and by detecting time difference caused by the over-lapping paper which slows the rotation speed of the roller. CONSTITUTION:When copy paper is conveyed one over another, the underlying copy paper is conveyed by a driving roller 1, while the overlying copy paper is stopped by the friction force from a slip roller 2, which stops the slip roller 2, too. Accordingly, the output of a lead switch 7 does not pulse hereafter, which would otherwise for every 0.16sec. Thus, a preset counter outputs a overlapping paper signal about 0.25sec after the roller stoppage in order to stop a copier 10.
